The main problem with this iron is that is shuts off after about 10-15 minutes of idle time. It may be OK for normal laundry use but I DEFINITELY would never, never, never recommend if for use by a quilter. as quilters sew for awhile and iron for a while. It is basically worthless for quilting use as it wastes a lot of time. Had I been aware of this problem I would not have purchased it. Take heed, buy a steam iron which stays on full time. I wonder what Rowenta was thinking when they designed it.
