There are three main types of stage truss available:

• T-Bar Stands - These are very lightweight and can be used either on stage or front-of-house. They consist of an upright stand (usually with a tripod base) and a T-bar that connects toward the top. Equipment can be mounted below or above the bar.
• Triangle Truss - This is a medium-duty rigging option. It has three main support beams (usually a high-quality aluminum) with welded cross supports. Individual pieces can be attached together to make longer runs.
• Box Truss - This is the standard for most professional applications. It has four sturdy aluminum beams with welded cross beams creating a long rectangular box. Individual pieces of box truss can be combined in a similar fashion to triangle truss.
