We have used these 60LED security lights for several years now. The original ones that we purchsed were from Harbor Freight. Those lights have stopped working on the security setting. So we needed new lights so the dogs could see in the backyard after dark. We purchased these lights on eBay and so far they are working fine. They are very similar to the ones that Harbor Freight sells but less expensive. We hope that they serve us well for years to come. Remember to charge them for 3 days before beginning to use them. We love the idea that solar power can be harnessed effectively to save on electric bills.

I use these in a very dark wooded property and have several. If the batteries get charged well from strong sun, the LEDs are bright enough to throw light about 20-30 feet. Certainly not as bright as outdoor incandescent spots i have on the same property, but the motion sensor/timer works well and the day/night function does too. The only detail to be aware of-the design makes it difficult to get screws into the brackets holding the entire assembly unless you take the bracket off the LED assembly and there are tiny screws that will fall out and be easily lost and hard to put back in especially if working on a ladder or other elevated area. not a deal-breaker but si fiddly. The other insight I've learned repairing 2 older models I've used-if the solar panel doesn't charge the internal batteries enough, the motion sensor and/or timer will get funky. I managed to take the battery pack out of the housing-it is a 5 cell NIMH pack with a removeable quick connect clip. i managed to connect these packs to a NIMH charger (I used a professional iMax R/C hobby charger) to bring them up to proper voltage and the lights now work as expected. Positioning the solar panel is very important, being in a shady spot will not charge the internal batteries sufficiently. If you have trouble with this model not working or providing a dim light, this is probably the reason. other than that, these are built reasonably well and are holding up to rain, snow and hot and cold temperatures. Would recommend with my above noted comments and as long as you are not expecting a super-bright spot/floodlight but need at least a fairly large area to be visible in the dark.Read full review

These are great lights. I bought one set and put it in my barn since there is no electric out there and they light it up great at night when I go in there. I purchased two more sets and put them out by the pool so I didn't have to run electric. They are easy to install and work great.

Everything is like what other people have reviewed. It is easy to install and bright. The best feature is you can put the solar cells in a different place to maximize light collection. This greatly increases the use cases. I pretty much just mount the solar panel on the roof for best light collection.

I use these all around the property. They pick up motion well and light your path as you walk which is pretty cool if you position them correctly. Work good in outbuildings, porches, chicken runs, attics, pretty much anywhere. They generally last a few years or more. Be sure and fully charge before use.
