I have used the Remington R5130 three times thus far. It cuts well, it is not too noisy, it is lightweight and has very visible charge indicator. The only drawback I find with the R5130 is that it is somewhat difficult to clean as the head does not detach. It does flip open so you can use the little brush provided to clean it out, but the brush is tiny. It also pulls my beard at times after a couple days growth. Having said all that it is a good value and seems to be of good quality. I would recommend the Remington R5130 as a good intermediate level shaver.

I have owned a Remmington shaver same style as this one for almost 7 years and the only reason I bought this new one was because my old battery was failing and i could not be bothered finding another and replacing it. This new razor is CHEAP and badly reconditioned and the design of the shaver head is poor. The head construction is lightweight plastic covered in a plastic chrome finish and will probably in short order start to degrade and rub off. On my first shave one of the rotors fell out !! When I opened it up the whole head assembly popped off as it had not been properly assembled....WTF if this is a factory conditioned item does anyone check them??? Would not recommend a NEW or reconditioned one.

I like it and use it every day but the quality feel of an expensive shaver is not there. The cutting heads work ok but I have to go back and forth with it several times to get all trimmed. It would be very good to travel with and the battery remains charged for a number of shaves. I am also able to wash the shave heads off under running water with no problem. The only negative thing I have to say about it is the shave head is a little too flexible or wobbly for my preference. ie.: it pivots a little too freely. I would prefer it be more steady. Otherwise, a good lightweight shave for the cost. A little larger than a compact shaver.

After using mostly hand-me-down electric razors I finely bought my own with this being my first choice and I find it has the feel and sound of a cheap razor however the shave, the closeness and the easy cleaning it does pretty well for its price, it should have a stand to park it in when not in use. All in all I say it is a good buy for it's price. Two thumbs up.

Shaves great, well built. The instructions were printed badly and totally unreadable. I had trouble getting it to turn on. By trial and error, I figured out that in order to turn it on, you have to plug it in for a few minutes before every use. Is that what "cord/cordless" means? Once it's turned on, you can disconnect the charger. It's a nuisance to have to plug it in and wait a few minutes every time I use it.
