Clear, easy to adjust; rugged construction. This is my second NcSTAR scope. The first was a 3x9x40 and I wouldn't be back for another if I didn't appreciate the quality one gets from NcSTAR [and the prices send my appreciation level through the roof]. Would and have recommended this company's products to MANY. My gunsmith also builds custom guns for his clients. Showed it to him, he shot a box of rounds with it and said he's going to start using NcSTAR for many of his "builds". Also fast and easy tracking on both shipments. What's not to like?

The scope has a lot of great features. It's easy to adjust, the mount is solid as a rock. Seriously, you could take the scope off of the gun and use it as a club. The biggest problem is that the optics aren't all that good. They are adequate for 100, maybe 200 meters, but they fisheye, which is distracting. I have it mounted on a .22lr, have it set for 100 meters, and called it done. The red dot? Take it off, throw it away, it's a piece of junk. Maybe the mount can be used on another red dot.

My first impression is that this scope looks great. It mounted easily. The knob on the left is used to adjust the color of the scope. It's a bit tight for easy adjustments. But- for a scope on a price point budget of $100 I'm very happy. I'll be excited to see if it zero's out and spots well. I've mounted this on a S&W 15-22.

I bought this to put on my son's new Ruger 10/22 tactical. It has a slight bit of slop in the rail mount that I have not been able to adjust out...Its just enough that you can feel it shift a little bit if you bump the scope with your hand. In spite of this, I was able to easily zero the scope at 50 yards and bulls-eye 4/10 successive shots. The others were all within 1 inch. Not bad for target ammo and sand bags (I didn't have my lead sled). We've shot it a few times since and it seems to be holding well. The optics are very clear, especially for this price range. The red dot on the reflex sight is a little dim and hard to acquire quickly in full sun, but it too was easy to zero at 50 yards, and I managed 1 bulls eye out of 10 shots - again, not bad considering the full sun, and at 50 yards the dot was about twice the size of the bulls eye. The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is the slight slop in the mounting, and the lack of a way to adjust this out, even though it doesn't seem to effect the performance at 50 yards. I can't say what it would be like on a .223 at 200 yard. And to be fair, this is the only scope I've ever mounted on this gun, so it is possible the rail is slightly undersized. Overall, I don't think I could have done better for the money.Read full review

If you shoot for a living, spend more money. If you need a cheap scope and want to hit stuff, buy this scope!!! With any lesser expensive purchase, you need to expect less quality. On this particular scope, I had to freshen battery connections and tighten a few screw and bolts for the red dot and illuminated scope to work constantly with a 7.62 AR rifle. Which had a good kick. Upon firing 60-80 rounds the red dot and illumination in the scope began to cut in and out. Just needed to be re-tighten from the factory. The metals used for screws and bolts are lower quality, so be cautious when tightening, not to strip. After all was said and done, I'm very satisfied with my purchase and look forward to dealing with NcStar in the future for all my optic needs.
