I have been looking for an affordable, compact, & portable stand for my laptop & this one is perfect! I'm a photographer, so I do tons and tons of editing & it's important for me to make sure I keep an upright posture while staring at my screen for hours. So, I definitely need something to lift my laptop up so that I'm looking straight instead of downward while working at my desk as well as when I'm working on the road/in coffee shops/etc. This does the trick with ease! The quality is great & I have no worries about it possibly collapsing while my laptop is on it. Plus, it fold up so easily & the fabric storage bag is perfect for travel. Only thing I can suggest is for it to be available in multiple colors! :)

I bought two of the Nexstand, one for home, one for travel. I think it's great. My only gripe is I don't think it's very good quality. So I am very careful when using them. Height adjustment is very good. I carry it in my backpack with absolutely any issues. I think I you use it with care, it may last a long time. The price is also right compare to the Roost. I have a 17 inch laptop. The fit is perfect right out of the box. Keep in mind you would need a stand alone keyboard to use with the Nexstand. I would not recommend typing on the keyboard laptop while it's on the stand. All in all, I would buy it again.

Well, you get what you pay for. This one doesn't open as easily or slickly as the Roost, but it's half the price. I recommend it, because it works very well — just be careful what kind of keyboard you get. Don't get something too bulky, because it will position your laptop too far away from your face.
