I have owned one of these for 16 years and it is still going strong. I bought this one to include in a vehicle I am selling that has a dock installed. These XM receivers have many features that make them a favorite. It will record and play back, the battery allows portable use, store stations for quick selection, transmit on one of several FM frequencies, audio cable to another radio, and many more. It is a durable, high quality receiver that installs in your home or car and can be easily moved from one to the other.

Did not arrive in original box which caused considerable problem when having unit authorized for use. The ID number on box was different from the actual unit. This created a problem when unit did not work, because subscription could not be validated. This caused a huge problem because XM used one of my three renewals for my life time subscription. Should be very careful with proper descriptions as it has caused a very costly situation for me.

A Car Cradle allows the XM2GO to adjust it's Line Out under Audio Settings, enables the XM2Go's FM transmitter and allows you to set automatic power on and off with the car's switched 12vdc input (enabled under Time Settings). It is also made to fit on various adapters for mounting in the car, I used a flexible goose neck floor mount which keeps it secure without using space on the dash.

This may be old tech and a little clunky but it works great! The little ones with the color screen look cool but don't work as well as this one. The newer ones absolutely won't transmit to an FM radio in your car due to the low power output. Nobody tells you this until you buy one. These older units have the power to transmit perfectly. Who needs a color screen anyway? It's a radio, not a TV.
Love the Myfi concept, portable and records when you may not have time to listen. They should come out with an AM/FM version... I wore my first MyFi out taking it from the car, into the office every day for 2.5 years. Antenna/AC jack got real touchy connecting then died. Have a cheapie for the office now so this one should go 5 years at least. Wouldn't pay list price but got a like-new one for good price on ebay. Got the "Dreaded" earphones w/ integral antenna and listen in house or laying in hammock or mowing the lawn. Good quality to my ear and not as uncomfortable as the reviews say. Do work in the house too!
