I waited to review this optic until I had the opportunity to get to the range. It is mounted on a new Rock River Arms LAR8 (308). I found that the adjustments were very clear and easy to use and the clarity is much better than I expected. At 100 yds, the cross hairs are a little bolder than I would like, but as range and magnification are increased it becomes very useful. After completing zero, I could consistently put rounds in a 1/2 inch group in the 10 ring at 100 yds. I am very satisfied with this scope and surprised at the quality for the price.

As you know you get what you pay for, so I cant complain to much...Overall I like the way the product is built, the quick detach system works great...the focus ring is stiff, but this is not a bad thing, and the clarity for the $ is good...The lighted reticle works well and the different colors gives you several options in different light conditions...Where my issues came with this product is the elevation adjustment knob broke on the first outing, after several attempts to re-center the elevation turret failed I just left it at the 2 position and will use the p4 sniper adjustments...This is on an AR platform in 556/223 and after 150 rnds of ammo, the zero has held. NcStar is an entry level scope company, of all the low priced products I have purchased from this company, everyone has had some sort of quality issue....So if your looking for something to put on a long range accurate firearm this is not the product for you. Good luck, Shoot straight, and Know what's beyond your target.. Read full review

Love my scope, clear, holds zero and rugged construction, my M4 is for medium range, with this scope med to long (100yds +) the mil-spec reticle and bullet drop compensator very accurate and at a bargain price what's not to love, I remove it all the time for CQC drills using iron sights back up, put it back on to shoot targets at distance ( 10 n out yards) only takes seconds thanks to quick release mount, the price for this was stupid crazy cheap glad I am glad I bought this product

Got it dialed in at 50 yards then moved to 100 yards. Got dialed in about 1 inch pattern. Then around 100 rounds went way hi and right though I pulled maybe. Shot again low right. And all over the paper after that. Had my buddy give it a go same thing. Didn't drop it or anything like that was shooting 5.56 55 grain. Something just came loose inside it and couldn't get it back in line sent it back.

Compact multi power scope. Requires at least 1" riser if rifle has A2 front sight. Scope can be flipped so QD lever can be on left or right side. Not suggested for carry handle mount unless you shim the scope. Rugged. It does have threaded case to accept sunshade or flashkill. What are you giving up. Glass clarity and it's a little heavy. Not as fast aiming as a red dot or halo sight for CQB.What are you getting? Good budget compact retro ACOG looking scope with 3-9X magnification for precision shots and a built in bullet drop compensation turret that dials out to 500 yards and mil dot recticle that is functional for rangefinding, hold over and lead. Has mine held zero? Yes
