This was an upgrade from an older Arcitec model that finally died after many years. The technology does not seem to have changed (which is not a bad thing). The shaving head is larger - which I like. I like the pop open head for cleaning.. These are all good things. There are a few changes that I don't like: the trimmer is a separate device - so I will never use it. The "turbo" does not appear to do anything - so I will never use it. There is no stand provided to rest the shaver in (I use the stand from my older one). When charged you can see approximately how much charge is left - the old model told you how many minutes were left (and the older model held a longer charge). BUT none of these things are deal breakers because ultimately it is about the shave and that is the best part - it is a good razor that gives a good shave - at a decent price.Read full review

Earlier shaver models made by Norelco produced a far closer shave. They also had a built-in side-burn trimmer that wasn't separate and needs to be plugged into the motor to work. The "Turbo Power" feature is worthless. On the other hand the charge lights are better and the thing is easy to clean - if you can get it to give you a good shave. I would not buy it again.

I paid $22 shipped for mine, brand new, so it was worth that. But if I'd paid anything close to retail I'd be sorely disappointed. The charge lasts awhile and the heads move nicely across my skin so that's a plus. It simply doesn't cut any better than any other electric razor I've ever had, and I've always had the cheapest model. This technology apparently hasn't improved in 30 years. If you can get one for less than $40, it's worth it. Otherwise just get the base model. You'll get the same shave...

I have had Remington shavers and 2 other Philips Norelco shavers in the past. A low end model which functioned well but did not work very well on my wiry beard. I also had a 3000 unit I believe that I lost in a house fire and that unit worked very well. This S5370 shaver is a bit more expensive but it is truly worth the price. Shaves fast and has lots of features. Easy to clean and best of all it has given me the closest and smoothest shave ever. I highly recommend it if you have a tough beard.
