I've been using one for years, and it still works. So I bought a spare, my old one is bound to quit someday.

I'd always wanted the Roady XT when XM came out with it. I liked the changeable settings to it, like display color, that the original SkyFi didn't have then. I already had an Altec Lansing base unit I'd gotten for my XMP3 that works with the Roady XT radio and didn't work with the XMP3. A couple of moths back I decided to find a radio for it and let it be used for some friends to listen to since they liked my XM radio so much. I found a great price on a used radio complete with home and car kit that was in as new shape and worked perfectly, put the Roady on the Altec base and paid for one year of the XM package 'mostly music' for them. They love it and next summer can either keep it going or give it all back to me where it will be radio number 5!
Don’t know why I didn’t get this unit long before now hooked up to my Bose system couldn’t sound better

I love the fact that the stereo has a great, quality sound and it's very portable! you can take it anywhere..and listen to your xm music anywhere as well! my brother has one just like it and has it in his shop ...so i knew how the boombox sounded before i bought the one i own now! if you have one of the first gen Roady XT's-buy one of the boombox's....they are awesome!
Great radio! It was just as described and we are very happy with it. My husband is a trucker which means he spends long days in the truck, so this was a perfect gift for him. It was easy to install and just as easy to get our subscription started. We had done some reseach before purchasing and we definitally made the right choice. Worth our money!
